THE RE-PETE PROJECT ANORAK
Created with 29 Recycled Bottles. 100% Recycled. 100% Recyclable.
Every anorak is designed to be 100% recyclable - it can be broken down, rewoven and remade like new - never ending on landfill, actively preventing plastic from landing in our oceans.
Excellent comfort whatever the weather: waterproof, breathable, windproof
The high-tech German engineered 3 layered fabric keeps you dry and warm in all weather. The more you move, the more it breathes. Every seam is taped and sealed so you are kept dry no matter how hard it rains or snows.
Unisex. One size fits all.
The anorak combines the archetypal silhouette of an anorak, a fisherman’s smock and an army poncho into one emergent shape. It is designed to be worn as dictated by the wearer: a sporty fit on larger builds, an oversized smock on slighter builds, with rolled sleeves and high side vents so any height wearer can access their trouser pockets.
Local suppliers. Made in Europe.
THE RE-PETE PROJECT is made in Europe and has partnered only with like minded local ecological suppliers in the UK and Europe, supporting existing business in the circular economy, reducing the need for unnecessary transportation of goods.
We are a circular economy company, designing high-quality outerwear entirely from recycled plastic waste.
Founder, Katie Walsh
I'm a fashion designer. I studied in London, worked for Alexander McQueen before setting up my own internationally acclaimed labels which I ran for 8 years until I took time out to raise my family.
On my return to fashion I wanted to show people that great design does not have to be a compromise for the environment. I began researching extensively into how I could make a tangible difference to the planet through design when I learnt about The Circular Economy.
I choose to design out of single use plastics because I wanted to help with the ocean plastic crisis that is touching every corner of our planet. I am launching with THE RE-PETE PROJECT ANORAK, a versatile piece of outerwear that has the potential to be a new sort of classic. I wanted it to be a handy layer that could be thrown on for protection, a bold yet understated shape. A piece that is timeless, gender-natural, where one size looks great on all shapes and sizes.
